I had a couple thoughts, while working on things in the home assistant UI. Thought I’d share to help make the UI interaction better.
- When duplicating an automation, I think it should copy the same category as the parent automation?
- Always allow rename from the item button. It’s always difficult to figure out how to rename an object, as it seems this option is not always in the same place.
- Allow drag-and-drop to organize items into their category areas.
- hamburg? button on top right of screen should show the same options as the item button in the tables.
- device settings doesn’t have a hamburg icon (only an edit icon), it would be nice if all “edit” screens were the same format.
- for automations, things like Light: TurnOn, create a form that allows setting the brightness of each light in a single Action.
- In the Add A Device dropdown, there’s no clear indication of what kind of device it is.
