I reverse engineered the Bluetooth protocol of the chargers, which allows local control.
Easee has been working on local control of their chargers for some time now, and they recently released firmware version 344 which allows local control via OCPP, and turning on/off the charger and setting the charging limits. Awesome!
But I was still missing local control for phase switching and more frequent data updates for optimal usage of solar for charging my EV.
I figured out the charger had support for Bluetooth and the app was capable of controlling the charger locally via Bluetooth, but the used protocol was unknown to the internet, up until now.
The last few weeks I spent time in figuring out how it worked and open sourced it. Using just an ESPHome proxy, you can already control your charger locally.
Have fun!
