Hi need a little help please, I have an ECOBEE 3 , As we cant use an API i have tried to setup through Homekit. Enter your eight-digit HomeKit pairing code (in the format XXX-XX-XXX) to use this accessory.

I am trying to find the pairing code… where do i find that… I only see 8 digit code but not in that format… I have added the dashes but nothing.

Any help would be appreciated

Straight from the EcoBee website:

On the ecobee Thermostat

  • Go to Main Menu Hamburger menu icon > General Settings icon > Select Settings > Select HomeKit, then Enable HomeKit pairing to reveal the HomeKit QR code.

Glad to help, the first time I tried doing this is it confused the heck out of me also.
