I have set up my ecobee however and everything works fine except the thermostat status doesn’t update unless I reboot HA. I know there is some delay (apparently 3min set by ecobee). However, even after a few hrs there no change on the UI card unless HA is rebooted. Any ideas?
So I have figure it out, having ecobee running along device tracker makes ecobee not to update as it should when you stop tracking ecobee devices.
That’s interesting, and good to know. Was there any particular use case you had in incorporating the ecobee as a tracked device?
Personally I have it on a ping sensor so i can be notified if it’s offline, but I can’t think of a reason off-hand where I would want it implemented as a device tracker.
Not specifically, it was loaded along with any wifi connected devices when I setup Unifi network presence detection. However, once it is discovered it should be tracked otherwise it won’t update.
