Just started using Home Assistant and planning to control my zigbee devices through ZHA. I’d lke to do that in order to create 1 big stable Zigbee mesh network with different devices from different manufacturers and also to have everything controlled locally.
I figured multiple zigbee dimmer switches with router/repeater functionality throughout my appartment would be a good idea to create a proper mesh network.
The ecodim 0.7 seems like a good candidate since it’s family friendly and I have appropriate switch covers already in place over my existing dimmers. After some research on this forum I’ve found this thread . The latest message in that thread reports there is still an issue with this dimmer integration.
On the other hand the dimmer is listed on Blakadder where it shows as a supported device by ZHA.
My questions are:
Does someone have recent experience with using this dimmer with ZHA with a ZBT Skyconnect stick? It might be useful to report if you’re using the “Basic” or the “Pro” variant of the 0.7 dimmer.
Is the dimmer also a router? I’ve contacted the manufacturer and they said it is. But since it doesn’t have a neutral wire attached I want to make sure it is.
