Help.
4th day on HA and loving it so far
If i look at my system (haos installed on rpi 4) it tells me that my config directory is /config just as the infomation says for an installation of this type.
I’ve loaded the file editor app and the highest level directory appears to be homeassistant/
There is a configuation.yaml file. Is this the right one and why the discrepancy.

Yep that is the file.
Before playing with it.
Setup external backups, either to a NAS or google drive, and do a backup, see the docs for info.
Take a manual backup, by copying all the text to a text file somewhere, then when it fails the restart check you have the option to copy it all back really easily.
Do not force a reboot if the restart checks fail.

Thanks, oh yes of course. I’m probably trying to run before ive even started to walk but ive bought a rtl433 receiver for my pi so that i can pick up the mqtt messages from my ancient yale sensors. All that bit is working fine, now all ive got to do is get HA to react to the mqtt messages and im still very green with devices,events and automations. The beauty about being just retired is that ive got time to play.

6 years ago when I retired I took on the task of learning all about HA and home automation. Having never used it before, or really done any coding since the BBC basic days. Now I like to spend the rainy days trying to help others
