it is possible to edit config.yaml file from hass-cli?
Nano configuration.yaml in the homeassistant directory . You could create a file called config.yaml but why?
I have accidentally corrupted configuration.yaml, System is working ok but I’m unable to access it via web or app. I’m only able to access via hass cli hoping to be able to edit configuration.yaml and eventually fix it.
I’m very very new to this hass cli, ssh and terminal commands
Yeah. Everybody will mess it up at the start. Part of the learning curve. Good idea to backup HA frequently.
So do you think it is possible to edit configuration.yaml via ssh?
Using the nano command as I suggested above. You will likely have to restart HA after you save any code.
Thanks. I need to learn nano commands first!!!
The developer menu has options to reload configuration without rebooting.
Unfortunately the OP is locked out of that access. Only SSH access at this point. I dont know the ssh connand to reload the configuration file only but there must be one. If can correct the mistake in the configuration file then can after a reboot access the web service again
