Amazon has these eKyro Wi-Fi garage door openers with a magnetic sensor to detect open/close. Looks like an ideal solution, but are they compatible with HA? I’m a HA newbie, and have ZigBee and Thread/Matter networks fully functional, but I haven’t setup any wi-fi devices yet.
Is this device “officially” supported? I searched but did not find any discussions or documentation specifically addressing eKyro and HA.
Google says these are Tuya based so look into that.
Which garage door opener do you have? You will want to make sure whatever you are buying would be compatible with your opener.
And if eKyro is indeed compatible. Look into Athom garage door - it would be direct replacement, and it runs on ESPHome firmware so will work with HA and fully local, and you can control your door via the HA app.

But I did more digging. Our Liftmaster uses Security+ 2.0.
As far as I can tell, only the Meross and the RATgdo support security+ 2.0.
Here is another product that looks interesting. It seems to have great instructions:
RATgdo then. It was an open source project, so you would then see the one on the CircuitSetup as a derivative product.
meross supporting Security+ 2.0 via an adaptor, meaning you can use the same adapter on Athom and 20 other products.
One extra benefit of RATGDO is that it would know (from your Liftmaster GDO) when the door is open, or close, or closing, or opening. Meaning you would not need the long wires from the magnetic sensor.
On a separate note, sounds like you have both zigbee and matter/thread already? Look into Smart Garage Door Opener – ThirdReality also… because it would still work on any security level (+ or ++ or 3.0 or 8.0
