Electric recliner -> HA

Recently bought a “smart 2 seater electric recliner couch” with all sorts of gimmicks BT speakers, drink cooler, wireless charging, USB ports, etc
But the first thing I thought of is if I can set up a scene/automation so I can say Hey Alexa, cinema time and have the recliner automatically extend, TV on, blinds down, etc because why should I press a button for 5 seconds.
It uses one of these plugs for the recliner buttons up/down and head rest up/down

I wonder if it’s possible to intercept the button commands and issue them via a wifi relay/esp8266 or something similar.

Anyone tried something like this?

I wanted to achieve your same result. Had a double sonoff with the no power mod, all ready with the inch option. Then tried to figure it out how that kind of button for recliner work, but gave up. I even busted the button and the up and down mecanism, had to buy another one on amazon.

Yeah in a way I don’t want to mess with the existing buttons in fear of breaking them, as it has 6 buttons inside a cup holder and can’t just get a replacement if they break.
Was thinking of one of those tuya controllers for the blinds perhaps

Anyone else attempted this? I have a spare motor and bough a spare power supply and remote so I will try to work out the pins once they come in.

Four relays, and I assume 2 relays are needed for each chair (one to open and one to close)
