Hi.
a)
I have a car charger on a socket relay, which reports summation delivered, current etc.
I’d like to make som buttons to charge it 10%, 20% etc. I’m assuming I need to make helpers, but it’s a bit confusing.
What I think I need is to make a helper (counter, or number?) to hold the SD (summation delivered) when the button is pushed.
- Another to hold the SD+10% of the SoC in kWh.
- An automation for the button press to put values into those two, make sure relay is on, an then trigger-
- Another automation to turn off as SD exceeds the SD+10% value.
Am I on the right track? Should this be done in a different way?
b)
I’v been operating the relay manually, and making notes on the SD, temperature, time etc.
It doesn’t add up. The relay has no value for AC frequency, Effect factor, Instantaneous demand or Apparent effect.
Summation delivered is less than half of what the car reports the battery is charged. 10% SoC in the car battery should equal ~3,5 kWh, but SD is ~1,5 per 10%.
Is this because this relay Is made for TN, and my house is IT?
If so, can I expect SD to be off by a fixed factor, or will it never be correct?
