My setup is a little different. I am not trying to use EMHASS to directly control inverter power in remote mode.
My EMS makes high-level decisions (buy, sell, charge, discharge), but I want the inverter to continue using its own internal control loops, including the CT clamps for instantaneous export limiting and house load measurement.
The problem is that when I switch the inverter to Selling First, the inverter changes its operating mode and my CT-based measurements are no longer handled as expected, which breaks the real-time data my EMS relies on.
My inverter has recently been upgraded to a new firmware that adds a SELL checkbox for each individual Time-of-Use period. My goal is to use those TOU SELL options instead of switching the entire inverter to Selling First.
That way, the inverter can remain in Zero Export to CT mode while my EMS simply enables or disables SELL for the required TOU periods. This keeps the CT clamps active while still allowing controlled export during selected periods.
I believe this approach is cleaner than using remote power control because it allows the inverter to keep managing the fast control loop locally while Home Assistant only decides when exporting is allowed.
