I have been using Emulated Hue successfully with Alexa for many months. Really like this setup! Recently I have noticed my TP-LINK Deco Router Android Application offers control over TP-LINK Tapo, TP-LINK Kasa, Philips Hue and Matter devices.In fact, it appears the App has found 3 “somethings” associated with Philips Hue. When I select Philips Hue out of the above lists of controllable devices … I can search for and find 1 Hue Hub. But the MAC address doesn’t exist on my network! I assumed this would have been the MAC address of the computer running HAOS.
Question 1: Does Emulated Hue create it’s own (fake?) MAC address?
Going on … I tap on the Hue Hub icon … and several seconds later … I’m told that there were No Devices Found. Phooey.
Question 2: Anyone know what I might try to get the TP-LINK Deco Android App to find my Emulated Hue devices and control them?
