Energy dasboard is wrong?

Hello everybody,

I know there are several posts on this dashboard but there are no answers.
Can someone please explain what is wrong in this dash board?
I have a basic configuration, one sensor that is showing how much I take from the grid. But in the graphs I get negative values like I’ve exported energy to the grid. My sensor does not go bellow zero, so how come I have exported energy?

Thank you in advance

It does go up and down like the Assyrian empire though, which is not correct.

The energy dashboard needs energy sensors.

Energy sensors are a running total.

You appear to have a power sensor with an incorrect unit. Simply changing the kW or W unit of a power sensor to kWh does not make it an energy sensor.

Thank you Tom, I know now what I configured wrong. Yes, I tried the Riemann Sum and a utility meter but they do not appear in energy dashboard, so I did a template from a power sensor. But I have not set it to total.

You can’t do that. Read the link I posted.

You have to use the Riemann sum (integral).
