This might be a “designed behaviour” problem. I recently had a battery and a Lux power hybrid inverter installed, I’m with Octopus in the UK so I get energy consumption directly from their API. I have used Guys Luxpower integration to get data from the inverter for solar and battery charging.
The question I have is that grid energy used to charge the battery overnight shows on the energy dashboard as a negative flow. I would have thought that as it is using electricity from the grid that it should be totalled into the consumed figure.
However as the battery is a reservoir I can see that as a reusable source it could be thought of as a store and maybe totals in a negative sense but it would make more sense to me if it showed as energy used than energy returned.
I have attached a screenshot of the energy dashboard showing the behaviour, is this expected behaviour or can I do something to flip the sign on the graph.
