Energy-dashboard -> choose card-title from Gas to Oil?

Hi everyone,

I’m reaching out to see if it’s possible to customize the fuel type displayed in the Home Assistant Energy Dashboard. Currently, the dashboard only shows gas consumption by default, and I’d like to have the option to select oil consumption instead.

Is there a way to either:

  1. Change the label from “Gas” to “Oil” for the fuel category?

  2. Add an option to select the fuel type (e.g., oil) within the Energy Dashboard settings?

At the moment, I have it set up under Gas and it works, but it would be nice if at least the card title could be changed to Oil Consumption! The same applies to the Power Flow card — it would be great to be able to rename Gas to Oil there as well.

Any guidance or suggestions from the community would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you in advance!

Best regards

Wow, still no answer. Is there something wrong with my question?

It’s not possible.

Sorry, but this is best comment I’ve seen in a smart home community forum in ages.

Honestly, it would be maybe 10 minutes of work for a dev—just copy the gas integration module or add a simple option like ‘gas’, ‘oil’, or ‘wood pellets’.
