I am confused by the energy dashboard comparison tool. If I chose Jan 1st to today - it shows me usage YTD. When I then tick compare … it does this?
Why would it do that? Surely it should be comparing like for like, and where is it getting those random dates for last year from?

Never used compare but just played with it. It seems to take whatever selection you currently have and compare it to the previous one. So if you pick a week, it compares it to the previous week, etc.
So in your case, it’s just comparing the x days you selected to the x days before that timeframe.
It’s not really what you would expect…but hey.
Yeah, it would be nice to pick what we are comparing with what.
E.g. for me it would make much more sense comparing August 2025 with August 2024 rather than default Agust 2025 with July 2025.
