This seems like an odd inconsistency, but on the energy Dashboard the gas usage is not reflected in the “house” circle.
This is likely since gas meters usually only meter cubic meters or other volumetric amounts of gas.
But according to my gas providers conversion, I added a kWh sensor derived from my cubic meter sensor.
But it’s not added to the kWh of energy in the distribution section.
So either the line connecting the gas bubble to the house bubble should go, or the gas used should be added if the sensor shows kWh, or added as volume if volumetric sensor is used.
I second this. I can understand not adding it if your gas is metered in volume, but if you get a kWh sensor and we have a line with an animation, it definitely should be part of the ring and number.
I don’t think any of the devs look at this with more than a passing interest. Since I have moved away from burning gas to a heat pump, I am still using the “gas” with the power consumption of the heatpump, but since its also included in the grid usage, … I dont worry about it anymore.
I sort of fixed it with a different approach, I used the “Energy Flow Card Plus” from hacs and using the solar or battery I get to obtain what I was looking for, which is know how many KWH in totoal I’m throwing at the house for heating from different sources.
