Hello community,
this is my current installed version:
Home Assistant Core 2022.6.7
Home Assistant Supervisor 2022.08.3
Home Assistant OS 8.4
Everything is working as expected, and on Energy Tab I can see data every hour.
Problem is that if I update to any later release till the latest 2022.8.3, the energy stops to collect data.
Home-Assistant.log doesn’t shown anything related. Is there any action I can do to discover the root cause? I’m stuck at 2022.6.7 and I tried to upgrade to any new HA release but every time I had to roll back.
Thank you.
have you checked, if there’s some breaking change after the 2022.06.07 which might affect your installation / integration you are using for the energy dashboard?
I haven’t recognized any issues - except with CO2 signal - which does cause a wrong calculation when it has negative values - but I don’t think that this is related to one of these updates.
Yes, it seems there is no breaking changes for energy tab. Anyway my energy tab is quite simple, I have just a shelly EM as source, nothing else. I don’t know why after upgrade it doesn’t work anymore, maybe something related to DB?
This is my energy tab. Energy is collecting data from Shelly EM. After upgrade, no more data is collected.
Now, I’m installing a new hassio instance on proxmox where I can test what happen without mess up the original installation, let’s see, I’m getting crazy!
Ok, now should be solved!!
I didn’t notice that in hacs there was a mandatory update for ShellyForHass integration!
I updated HA to 2022.08.04, ShellyForHass to the latest version and now it seems energy gets data without issue. Thanks to CChris that suggest me to check also the breaking change for shelly!
