ENGIE (BE) - Custom integration for energy prices

Would it help if I made a short video explaining how to setup the integration properly?

yes thanks a lot

I'm working on the next feature for the integration: the ability to import historical usage data from ENGIE into the Home Assistant Energy dashboard. This will support electricity consumption and injection, gas consumption, and the associated costs. If this sounds interesting and you'd like to help test the feature, please join the discussion on this issue, where I will be posting updates and beta versions.

Hi,

Integrated this into my HA and its been good except that i cant see the injection pricing for my Dynamic tariff.
On github i dont see an immediate mention that it is supported but i would like this to be added of course :).
For the rest a very good plugin/integration thank you!

Hi, thanks for the kind words. As far as I understand, when you have a dynamic contract, the bare price for consumption and injection is the value of EPEX current price. With the difference that for injection you earn (e.g. currently 0,1598 EUR/kWh) and for consumption you pay ENGIE (e.g. currently 0,1598 EUR/kWh). It can be the other way around as well, when the value goes negative. This is without taking ENGIE's fees, distribution and transmission costs, taxes and VAT into account. Those costs are sadly not available from their API.

Nice, would this work globally for other locations out Belgium?

Hi, I have not tested this but I’m pretty certain it won’t work. Since this integration used the engie.be endpoints, which would only cover Belgian customers.

I’m looking for users who have an Empower-contract who can give my e-mail temporary (read-only) access to their account so I can test out a bunch of “time of use” improvements coming to the integration. Interested in helping out? Please contact me at [email protected]. Thanks!
