Enphase integration - firmware D8

Some really helpful topics/responses here about enphase and firmware 7 issues. I recently purchased home assistant partly to create some automations around enphase battery charge/discharge linked to octopus intelligent go cheap slots.

My initial research suggested this was completely possible and a popular automation - however after a few days of attempting with the official (and a couple of HACS) integrations, I’m now starting to see suggestions that the newer firmware (D8) essentially prevents any control of the battery whatsoever through HA (other than monitoring enphase activity).

Can someone more knowledgeable than me confirm that this is the case, or point me in the right direction to get my automations set up? Many thanks in advance!

Hi @Joe90, we found that with 8.2.xxxx Enphase started locking this all down for home owner accounts.

You could investigate getting an Enphase DIY account and use the Enphase Envoy Installer custom integration. With a DIY account you have more privileges and that allows this custom integration access to more data as a regular home owner account. Can’t say if the installer one provides what you are looking for, but it may be worthwhile to investigate.

That’s great, thanks for the response, I’ll look into it!
