Entered Incorrect Security Code during inclusion

I was acquiring a Z-Wave Plus device and, when prompted, accidentally entered the code on the device incorrectly. The device seems to work OK but I don’t have confidence that an HA update in the future will cause problems for me. Is there a way to correct the code or do I need to go through excluding the device and re-including it.

I went through the hassle of pulling the device out of the wall and temporarily connecting it to a wall plug so I could move it close enough to my HA system for the exclusion/inclusion process to work. However, I’m still interested in the answer to this question for future reference.

If it works it will always work

It may not have been added as secure and in that case code didn’t matter. If it is not security device it would not matter for function basically

When pairing devices, always pair them in the location you will be using them, otherwise you can’t rely that they will work afterwards.
