I tried to define an action which is started when I enter the home zone. I have my Android Smartphone with me, tracking is enabled, I can see in the history that my position is recorded correctly and entering the home zone is detected. I’m connected via Nabu Casa. I use the standard automation for entering a zone based on my device. The action is never fired (as seen in the history).
Any idea what might be wrong?
I made my zone action using:
Create Automation
Create New Automation
When: Add Trigger
Time and Location
Zone
(Choose Enter or Exit)
Entity - I have an option for a person or their device, I chose the person
Zone - your defined zone, you might want to make it bigger than you think you need, phone locations aren’t always super accurate
Then I added my action in the Then Do section.
So far, it has been working well. My action is to do a text-to-speech on a smart speaker, so I added additional actions to make sure the speaker isn’t muted and that the volume is set correctly.

There may be a solution but there is a slight problem.
Sadly we’re not mind readers (any more anyway, not after the last time we tried). Please share the YAML and any errors so we can see what you’ve done.
Look at the traces in the automation. This will tell you if the automation started and where it quit.
THANKS, no idea why it doesn’t work for my device but with me as a person it works 
it never started…
I run into this a lot in HA: too many options and only one of them works like you expect it to.
