I’m trying to configure some entity cards on a dashboard, which when pressed, reset the date of a date_time helper to the current date (as part of a system to track maintenance items). Originally I was going to use an automation to reset the date of each helper, but then I noticed you can use ‘perform action’ as a tap behavior on something like an entity card. I can select my helper as a target entity for the ‘set input datetime value’ action, but no matter what format I have tried for ‘now’ as the date value I get a parsing error ("Failed to perform the action input_datetime/set_datetime. Could not parse date at ‘date’ "). For reference, my code in my automation works to reset the date to the current date:
alias: Roborock QX Revo - Filter Change Date (Reset)
description: ''
triggers: []
conditions: []
actions:
- action: input_datetime.set_datetime
data:
datetime: '{{ now() }}'
target:
entity_id: input_datetime.roborock_qx_revo_filter_change_date
mode: single
while my code in the entity card does not:
type: entity
entity: input_datetime.roborock_qx_revo_filter_change_date
name: Clean Filter
grid_options:
columns: 6
rows: 2
state_color: true
tap_action:
action: perform-action
perform_action: input_datetime.set_datetime
target:
entity_id: input_datetime.roborock_qx_revo_filter_change_date
data:
date: '{{ now() }}'
Any suggestions would be appreciated… Thanks!
