Entity ? Instance ? Card ? I don't get it

Hi,

i would really love to install a nice weather app in my HA. e.g. PirateWeather

So I install the integration via HACS … check
Then I can see it as an integration item in the list … check

Next I go to the dashboard and klick “edit” and want to add a new card/map … but here this PirateWeather-Integration does not show up ?

I can switch to “entity” and here I can find the PirateWeather entity

but if I add it, all I get is this boring little button

instead of the fancy weather summary

Is my HA broken or is it just me beeing too dumb to do it the right way ?

You add a weather forecast card and choose the pirateweather weather entity.

Entity
Integration

The word “instance” refers to a single, independent execution of the Home Assistant software on a server. So, your Home Assistant and all the integrations it is using, running on your server, is your “instance” of Home Assistant.

If you go to the Dashboard documents, in the left-hand sidebar menu you will find links to all the documentation for core card types.

But how do I add a larger element like a webcam video or a big weather dashboard to my “homepage” or “main dashboard” ?
All i am able to to is adding these small buttons - showing just one value or parameter of my webcam or my weather plugin

you add a picture card using the camera entity in it’s selection. I suggest you go to the documentation page and read what each card can do.
