Error: INFO (MainThread) [supervisor.updater] No Supervisor connectivity

Dear HA Community,

I installed the HA via UTM (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_MChIobtzmY) and via VMware Fusion (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xVQAMO_dVoA) according to these tutorials on youtube.

The installation was straight forward and it is running in either virtual machine on an M4 Mac Mini with 8GB Ranm assigned, 128GB diskspace on ethernet. Internet ist working. Our entire home runs on a Unifi network, without any tinkering. Simple standard network. Everything was restartet, reinstalled.

The errors which occurs on both virtual machines on startup is as followed:

2026-01-19 19:34:57.179 INFO (MainThread) [supervisor.updater] No Supervisor connectivity, delaying version fetch

2026-01-19 19:34:57.180 WARNING (MainThread) [supervisor.homeassistant.core] Error on Home Assistant installation. Retrying in 30sec

Thanks to all the geniuses out there. I am none of them

(The process is was running for several hours on both virtual machines without finishing)

Looks to me like it can’t get to the internet to download the files.
Is the VM’s Network Bridge working?
I’m not a VM fan, but that’s my guess.
Another case of…

Thanks for you reply. The browser (safari) can connect to the internet. Vmware says, „the virtual machine shares the IP adress oth the mac on the external network. The Mac provides Network adress Translation (NAT) for network traffic from the virtual machine“.

Is this good or bad?

What shall I do about DNS? Usually I dont touch those things on my router, cause I tend to screw up everything.

Thanks for the patience! BTW - funny picture.

Open the console on the virtual machine. Do you have an IP address listed?

You’ll want to change from NAT to bridged mode, but not sure that is causing your issue at the moment but will be a blocker to other things so worth doing now.
