Iāve just set up my first ESPSomfy RTS.
After some trouble with the TX pin it is working good.
The only problem I have is:
- It detects all presses from a Tellis 4 controller but none from another Tellis 1. But it is able to control the Rollers that are configured in both, so I conclude it can operate in the same frequency as the Tellis 1, it just isnāt capturing the signal somehow.
Any ideas how I could troubleshoot this?
Also, another question: can I add a ESPSomfy RTS ESP32 board to ESPHome and add other sensors to the same board? I canāt figure out how to do itā¦
Another problem Iāve been facing constantly is that the ESPSomfy is failling and rebooting when I receise, transmit or change something, intermitently.
I am constantly also seeing the system abort and ESP reboot on some error I canĀ“t identify:

ESP is ESP32 S2 N16R8, I am using the 3v3 from the board and the latest stable version from ESPSomfy.
thas I believe too, the problem is that I have bought 5 pieces radio and esp each from different suppliers in Ali and with all I have the same problemā¦
hello, I also have another question, if I open the shutter with my remote control somfy, the shutter remains closed in the HA, any ideas how can I change that?
Hello, I have a question. Currently I have two remotes for my screens and rolling shutters. Both on a seperate remote (see the picture). I got ESP Somfy setup to the point where you should see something happen in the logs when pressing a button on the remote, but when I press a button, I donāt see anything in the logs. Are these remotes/motors not supported, or did I set up something wrong? Thanks in advance!

Is it possible to use a ESP32 with EspSomfy to also add other sensors?

Have you figured out? - I think I am having the same problem. I tried two boards already and both of them are failing after some time. I havenāt been able to capture the error stack but basically whenever I try any communication from HA to ESP, the ESP fails and disappears from the network.

I have switched the TX and RX to other pins in the board and it seems to be working better but still not 100% stable. as the restart is really fast I am able to use it as is.
Right now I am focusing on how I could add more sensors to the board and Iād like to use ESPHome. Hope someone can give me info on how to achieve it.

Unfortunately, if you want OTA that cuts it in half right out of the gates and at this point I have a whole lot of 4mb users. Simply using the latest 3.x core adds over 200k to the codespace.
OpenThread support has just been added to ESPHome, so it would be even possible to mesh-enable ESPSomfy.

Iām now even more convinced that Matter and OpenThread would be a great addition to ESPSomfy and worth a HW upgrade.

I have the same issue, want to add 2 new awnings everytime I add one an existing configured and paired screen is vanishing.
When I read back a backup file I have what I had and adding keeps on getting the same result.

Ugh. Sorry, I just donāt remember, and sadly I have this odd feeling I understood what happened back in Februaryā¦ Now I have only minor notes and what is posted here. Maybe rstrouse saying I had multiple address stored in the same motors was the main issue.

What a great project!!! So, looking forward to it getting finished. Iām just waiting to finish soldering the wires to ESP32 board. I was getting ready to go down the Tahoma route. Someone even built a 3D printed case for it ā¦
Question: Going through the docs for the setup, they mention pairing with your remote. If anyone knows, what if there are multiple remotes? Does it matter? Is the ESPSomfy communicating through the remote (donāt think so since its one-way)? Or pair it with the remote that originally paired the shades (hope not, since my puppy decided it was a chew toy)?

As stated in the description, you need to define a new remote address for the roller shutter in ESPSomfy-RTS that isnāt used by any other remote control. If you want to control the motor from ESPSomfy-RTS, you then need to program this new remote address to the motor. You can then link the other remote controls (no matter how many) to this roller shutter in ESPSomfy-RTS. When you press a button on one remote control, the roller shutter will still be controlled by your remote control, but because ESPSomfy-RTS reads this information, it can also keep the status up to date.

Thank you for this project! So well documented and easy to set up. I had my ESP32 running ESPSomfy before the awning was even installed. Once installed I had it linked up and running in HA in very short order!

@rstrouse I have been using ESPSomfy-RTS with my Home Assistant and Sunsetter awning for a couple years now and it works great! I also have/had a weather vein wind sensor, but just replaced it with a Somfy Eolis 3D RTS Wind Sensor attached to the awning. I assumed everything would be āthe sameā with this sensor, but I was having an issue with reliability, it was not consitantly reporting to ESP Somfy. So I started troubleshooting and found that even though my remote reports 56 bit in the Radio Logs, the new wind sensor is reporting 80 bit most of the time with an occasional 56 bit message. So how can I configure the radio to listen for both??? Doing some testing, I switched the Radio Transceiver to 80 bit but left my Somfy Shades awning device set to 56 bit and that seemed to fix the problem. Is that the correct approach? I still need to resolve a range problem with the new wind sensor, the radio only picks up itās signal if itās pretty close by - my normal location about 50 feet away has trouble, but only with the new wind sensor. It would probably help getting a much better antenna than the one that comes with the radio. And the burning question, why is the wind sensor using 80 bit according the ESP Somfy? Maybe this wind sensor is not really supposed to be compatible with my awning??? But it does close the awning when it gets triggered!
