After the last two Updates esp32-s3-box-3 encountered just a Black Screen. Functions still good but the screen remaines black. Does anybody has the same issues. Rgds kai
Which two updates? ESPHome? What version of ESPHome from and to?
Also it would help if you shared your yaml, plus any log output (starting from update) you have.

I’m having the same issue.
I have two ESP32-S3-BOX-3, one ESP-S3-BOX, and one ESP32-S3-BOX-Lite set up as voice assistants, and they were working fine.
They were using the original voice assistant software installed from the ready-made projects on the ESPHome page. I had never updated them since I originally set them up about a year ago.
Since the new ESPHome has the voice functions integrated now, I decided to update the boxes to ESPHome 2025.7.3, and since then, all the boxes work, but they all have a white screen.
I did several google searches, but nothing came up, so I thought it was just me, and I had done something wrong.
Then I saw this post, so I think it might a bug with the YAML or with the software.
But you didn’t share your yaml, or the logs? So you are just making a comment or did you want help?

Like I mentioned in the post, I installed it directly from the “Ready-Made Projects” on the ESPHome page.
The YAML is available on their github page.
