ESP32-S3-BOX stopped working

I have an ESP32-S3-Box-3B which I purchased on Amazon. I instelled the yaml file located at wake-word-voice-assistants/esp32-s3-box-3/esp32-s3-box-3.yaml at 0769130854a0de034259a6dba016ab4ab1cdfea5 · esphome/wake-word-voice-assistants · GitHub.

It was wrking fine for a couple of weeks. Then after the most recent HA update (2025.5.2) it no longer works. I am unsure how to fix it. The problem is when I say Hey Jarvis, it does not respond.

How do I begin to troubleshoot the problem?

Did you try a “Clean Build Files”?
That seemed to fix mine.
I’m using:

packages:
  esphome.voice-assistant: github://esphome/firmware/wake-word-voice-assistant/esp32-s3-box.yaml@main

The same thing happened to me.

When I checked my ESP32-S3-Box-3 under Settings, “Devices and services”, ESPHome, I found that the “Wake word” had changed back to the default value of “Okay Nabu”.

When I changed the “Wake word” to “Hey Jarvis”, everything worked as before the update.
