ESP32 WROOM32 USB-C with Sensor Modul LM393-N, only USB, no WLAN (wifi)

I bought a ESP32 WROOM32 USB-C ESP32-DevKitC 32Mb/4MB 30 38 Pin Development Board Adapter and a 3/4 Pin Diode Sensor Modul LM393-N. It works fine with Home Assistant and Home Assistant Glow via wifi (WLAN).

Now I change a little bit in my infrastructure. My Mini PC (Intel NUC) is in same room like the energy meter. The ESP32 is via USB connected with the PC.

It is possible to use this hardware to get the data only via USB?

I have no exp with ESPHome. Is there a custom firmware to realize this?

Most likely you don’t need any. Esphome can either log on usb serial or use it for uart write. So the question is how you read that serial data on PC side.
