ESPHome Automation Stops Responding Randomly

Hello everyone on this forum,

I’ve been using ESPHome with Home Assistant for a while and overall it is been very reliable. Recently, though, I have noticed that one of my ESPHome automations occasionally stops responding.

The device stays online, but the automation doesn’t trigger until I restart the ESP device or reload ESPHome. It doesn’t happen every day, so it’s been difficult to figure out what’s causing it.

Has anyone run into something similar? Was it related to Wi-Fi, the ESPHome configuration, or Home Assistant itself?I’d appreciate hearing what fixed it for you or any troubleshooting tips that helped.

Thanks for the feedback. You’re right, I should have included more details.

I’ll check the ESPHome logs the next time it happens and share the relevant logs and configuration if I can reproduce it. I mainly wanted to see if others had experienced the same behavior before digging deeper.

Sometimes its just a specific esp device or where its placed.sometimes a clean build or different esp solves the problem. Some esp I have programed to restart every 24hrs. At least once it was the power supply to the esp.
