ESPHome Device Builder Update 2026.7.3 release notes state “If you have ESP32 Zigbee devices, you must re-join, re-interview, and re-configure each device after upgrading”.
With my scenario below, does that mean I need to re-join, re-interview, and re-configure each device after upgrading?
I have an SMLight SLZB-06MU listed as a “Generic Zigbee Coordinator” and I use the Zigbee Home Automation integration for my Zigbee devices.
My ESPHome integration only lists two Bluetooth proxies.
ESPHome Builder lists only the Olimex POE Bluetooth proxy, and it is shown as “Offline”.
Thank you. So I can just go ahead with the update and not worry about my current devices, so I can remain current should I decide to use Device Builder in the future?
I think so. I have about a dozen ESPHome devices, all Bluetooth. None of the recent Device Builder updates affected them. My Zigbee network survived unscathed because - like yours - it’s running on ZHA, nothing to do with ESPHome.
