Looked this up, but I was wondering if there is a way to use an esp32 with esp home to make a magic band reader and door opener.
The reader portion I can do with an rc522, and the workings for logic I can do in node red. But can I connect a speaker and led and the rc522 all at the same time to an esp32. If so what do you suggest as the light and speaker?
My wife is a MASSIVE Disney fan. Unfortunately I offered to integrate the bands into HA BEFORE doing a google search so now I need to figure it out lol.

I was actually able to get it to work. I have a Wyze wired door cam so with that I got a Dc to Dc buck converter, esp32 dev board, a 3W amplifier and a 1W 80 ohm speaker and wired them in a device that looks like below
