Is anyone else getting random functionality trying to access esphome.io or www.esphome.io ?
I will be in the documentation and then bam… I can’t get to anything with the error ERR_SSL_PROTOCOL_ERROR.
Then a little later it will work again…
the weblinks uou provided appear to be http address not https.
If i copy/paste link it his http
if i click link i am taken to https site however. my guess is it autoforwards to https but its possible this is causing your issue depending on what your are doing and browser
it will definetly cause the “site not secure” error
Well… the address I am referring to is in https, it does automatically redirect if you try and use http. the site doesn’t appear to be using HSTS with automatic redirection, but if you do try to use http it does redirect to secure. The address I am using is https://esphome.io or even https://www.esphome.io
I am wondering if one of the 2 IP’s listed in DNS are having issues and that might account for the randomness of it working and then going wonky.
Depending on browser and other factors it is possible ssl is failing? this is true even with https.
I was getting the same issue on google chrome as I was on MS Edge…
Funny… of course all day today not erroring… did someone reboot a server? 
more like hammer to the correct spot.
Make sure your clock, date and timezone is correct.
If you get too far off from the official time, then SSL handshake will fail.
