ESPHome voice assistants: way to do “no response” without the pipeline getting stuck?

Issue I have: when giving the agent instructions to provide no response or a minimal I.e. “-“ response that’s not spoken, the voice assistant (in my case an ESP32-Box) gets stuck in “responding” state. Or with no response at all it gets stuck in “processing” state. It seems I must provide a response that is spoken for it to continue normally through the steps

Is there a way to get it to provide no response, like for an action that already has an audible impact like starting music without it getting stuck?

Just mute device before response when you want no response or replace the intended response with a “beep” or “no sound” sound file
