I have installed the ESPHome Windows desktop app and when the dashboard launches it is prompting me for a username and password that I never set up anywhere. Anyone have any idea what is going on here?
Has something, but I found it fairly incomprehensible.
It looks like they tried to make esphome easier than possible. They perhaps made it prettier (UI) but the experience appears to not be as good, since it is asking for a user name and password that you don’t know.
I use the older standalone CLI version of esphome.
Says there is supposed to be no password.
Perhaps just a data point, but when I installed mine, I did not get this prompt.
When you installed, did you you get the box for all users of this computer or current user?
No, I did not.
