Hi there, I have been trying to add the Eufy Smart Lock to my HA. I have ZBT-2 running Matter over Thread. The Eufy is a matter device. The pairing mode starts, and the Eufy is constantly trying to connect to the old ha-thread-4914, which is not active anymore. The new one is ha-thread-a169. I have tried everything to get rid of the old thread, but it’s constantly coming up. I have factory reset Eufy two times, reinstalled ZBT-2, reinstalled Matter Server, and matter app without success. At this point, I don’t know where the old thread info is coming from. If you have any suggestions, please let me know. Thank you
Same here. I’ve tried everything I can think of and Eufy still keeps looking for the old network…which didn’t work anyhow, but that’s beside the point.
I just talket to a friend and he suggested to turn ON IPv6 on your main router. He said it helped solved his problem. I updated IPv6 and now I am restarting everything. I will update if that helps.
Thanks. I’d actually done that a few days ago…without success. I’d read somewhere that they just used Matter to do it (w/o the Eufy app) but that didn’t work for me either. Maybe the IPv6 thing will work out for you.
Problem solved.
I could not believe this. After so many hours of trying to add Eufy Smart Door Lock E31, the problem was with my Samsung Galaxy phone!!! For some reason, Matter or Eufy doesn’t like Android devices. It works perfect with Apple devices, the newer iPhones!!! I was able to finish pairing in less than 2 minutes!!! Hopefully this helps you or nyone else experiencing the same problem.
My 24 other matter devices didn’t have a problem with my S25+, so if it’s an Android thing, I have to assume it’s Eufy’s fault.
I think I’ll try a different Android phone. I’m not gonna spend a grand to join a cult. ![]()
Thanks for the info though. I’m glad you met with success.

Well documented problem with Android and Matter onboarding here in these forums. None of the workarounds are attractive.
