Everything Presence Pro (does not connect via ethernet)

  • Installation method Home Assistant OS
  • Core 2026.3.2
  • Supervisor 2026.03.1
  • Operating System 17.1
  • Frontend2 0260312.0
  • Everything Presence Pro
  • Current firmware v1.2.0 (ESPHome 2026.1.2)

I tried to enable Enable Ethernet with the official instructions, and I am just not able to connect the Everything Presence Pro via ethernet. It keeps defaulting to use wiki.

The settings in the device in HA (ESPHome section) and in the Zone Configurator, show that the device is set to connect via Ethernet, but in actually it’s connected only via Wi-Fi. UI I can see this in my unifi application as connected via wifi. As another confirmation, the switch port it’s connected to, does not show any connected device.

Anyone have any tips?

Anyone anyone know how to get in touch with them for tech support?

Thanks.

Have you tried another cable?

Ahhhhhh… always forgetting the basics. I erroneously thought that since it was already powered by PoE on the same cable it would be fine.

not sure I follow the solution. You just changed the cable, and it worked? Or were you just powering it via poe without a network connection?

I have tried it every way with multiple cables and have not been able to get it to switch to ethernet

i finally got it to work on one of my two devices. It took about 30 tired. I assume it was having issue maintaining a stable connection while downloading the new firmware verison.

Yep, I changed the cable.

edit: I was using a PoE switch. It was powering on, but something was wrong with the data. I had gotten a special flat ethernet cable but switched back to a normal one.
