LMS Seems to be the best fit for my audio needs (Particularly, Music Assistant doesn’t play nicely with my LS60 speakers), and I have recently added a Home Assistant Voice - Preview Addition to my network.
I would like to play media from LMS to the HAV-PE, but I’m not seeing any route to enable this. MA will play media to it, but I don’t really want to have to keep up to date with two different UI styles, playliats, etc.
Honestly - It’s either MA or SpotifyPlus - they’re the only two media addons or integrations that are actively maintaining voice intents for the stack. Todd just refactored his entire intent library with SpotifyPlus to make it easier… I’m even building my Friday project around THIER stuff and not re-inventing it. Friday uses THIER tools. I’m not going to reinvent them again they work well. (AND we don’t have enough tool namespace in LLM land for everyone to load a billion tools, but that’s a completely different discussion.)
I GET why - it seems the easy path now, but honestly, ESPECIALLY Voice processing which honestly is only two or three steps past wild west right now… I’d be trying to figure out how to make that gear work with MA because ONE option is at least a supported path forward with an active dev community? (Basically, if you want voice… Guess what.)
