External Hard Drive on Hassio for network share

Hi,
i found different topics, but all different :frowning:

I have a question:
can i use and external hard drive on my Raspberry Pi 3 and use it for a network folder?
I add the "samba addon " on hassio and it works great with the default internal folders, but i need to more space for documents.

Is it possible?
