Failing to Rediscover ZHA Devices

Good afternoon!

Have a rather frustrating problem. I discovered a number of Zigbee lightbulbs using the ZHA integration. These were then deleted from the UI, thinking I could rediscover them when they were in their final locations. Unfortunately I cannot now rediscover them, despite hors of effort.

I have tried removing their entries in the core.device_registry/entity_registry. No change. I rolled back to an earlier snapshot but still no luck (except now I also can’t re-discover the other ZHA device I installed today, which was removed during the rollback, ffs).

Tried factory resetting all problematic Zigbee devices. No change.

Am I missing something? I have a ‘normal’ HA OS installation on a Pi4 with a RaspBee II.

Thanks
Adam

I have found with zigbee stuff, even though THEY say you can discover and pair up a device installed in its final location as long as it’s in range of a routable device… it ain’t always reliable.
By default, and to avoid repeated attempts to pair up stuff… I do it in the same room as the coordinator is in.

afterthought/comment: After I move the bulb to it’s final location, it does end up moving it’s linking to one of the other routable things (another bulb or outlet)… ya just have to give it some time to do so.
