Fakro ARZ Z-Wave Roller Shutter

I have 2 Fakro roof windows that came installed with ARZ Z-Wave roller shutters. Besides the remotes that came with them, they are the only Z-Wave devices in my home. So when I wanted to get a Zigbee hub, I looked for one that also does Z-Wave and ended up with the SMLight SLZB-MRW10U. I’m brand new to both Zigbee and Z-Wave, but I was able to get Zigbee devices running immediately, whereas I’m having extreme trouble connecting to the Z-Wave roller shades.

I’ve confirmed that the SMLight radio is running the EU Z-Wave option.

I read the manual. I read Fakro manuals for similar devices. I spent quite a bit of time with AI. The problem is I can’t seem to get the shade into interview mode.

No matter what combination of buttons I push, nothing happens. I reset the remote (ZRH12) and was able to add it to HA, so I know the SMLight radio is working.

  1. Will resetting the roller shade delete all previous networks?
  2. What is the correct procedure to reset? The manual says double press P 5 times. The Z-Wave devices page says press P 5 times (no double). Neither seem to work.

What am I doing wrong? Please help!! Thanks!!

I made some small progress. I reconnected the ZRH12 remote, then excluded the network. Now the green LED is on (solid, not flashing), which supposedly means its not connected to any network. I still cannot get it to connect to HA Z-wave JS. I still cannot get it into autoinclusion mode.
