I currently have zigbee switches, because I thought that zigbee is quite universal thing, and it is.
Most of the switches has settings, but the settings are only possible in tuya i guess?
Anyway it is the classic long press, double press, press issue of switch waiting if my press would be double.
I have some switches that need to stay zigbee as there is no wiring to them, so I bought ones with this design https://allegro.pl/oferta/tuya-smart-4-gang-zigbee-scene-switch-pilot-12366592287 and there are at least 3 different versions of the wired ones I have (not considering N/no N, but considering available settings).
So my thinking was - ok i will buy wifi version for the wired ones, solder header, put on esphome and not enable the doubleclick.
I found out that most of the tuya stuff is no longer ESP based.
So what now? One option is to use shelly, but what would be the alternatives? I would like switches that fit into “eu installation hole” and have actual physical press.
The ones I bought are not as great feeling as oldschool switches, but acceptable by boomer me, not like the touch madness.
Apart from shelly i pretty much found only https://www.athom.tech/blank-1/eu-key-button-switch-for-esphome to be guaranteed ESP, but the 1 button version is not very nice to me, i do not like blue led, i once bought something similar to test and it was BEEPING (not kidding) for every press and no option to disable it.
Anything else I should look at other then shelly + classic switches?
Shelly I don’t like because as I understand it as it uses classic switches, switch would be in either down or up position independent of the light if i use other controls then physical switch, which i do use
