I wonder if I can feed my offline wifi home assistant network with a connected android phone? The HA network works independent, but when the phone is in the network (or maybe via some kind of Hotspot-like setting) it downloads data like the recent and upcoming weather data. Is there a solution for this?
I think you answered your own question; set your phone up as a hotspot and have HA connect to it.
My HA server has HA OS installed and is connected via cable to the router. Iām failing to imagine how I could make it work. It should work seamless, how do I make HA scan and connect to the hotspot without losing all the settings for my offline wifi network where everything is connected?
I got it. There is a feature called wisp mode on routers. They keep their normal network but can connect to existing Hotspots and distribute it.
