I'm not 100% sure, but I don't think this has anything to do with the Discord upgrade. AFAIK, it's always been like this, at least for me.

Has the new reactions thing affected the old requirement to give and get (likes) hearts to keep a member or regular status or whatever? I’d hate to loose a level because of this change.
Basically do reactions count like the hearts did before?
reactions count as likes, unless it's the grimace face, eyeball face, or whatever they are called.
At home I just tried logging in with Brave browser which I've never used for this forum before. Still no code formatting tool shortcut.

The email notifications for DM changed to an ominous
‘Someone sent you a PM’
The headline used to be less scary… 
Also, it’s odd because the sender is in the same notification, no need to be so covert

@arganto I just gave it a shot on my iPad and it seems to work. What version of iPadOS are you on?
@Mariusthvdb Can you give me a screenshot of both what it looks like now and what it looked like before? I can see a ton of email settings but they aren’t really clear in what is what when it comes to DMs.

Aha, I might be used to it since I use an Apple Pencil on my iPad and often have to tap things to make sure I’m doing the right thing. 
Yes, for me the preformatted text button is also under the plus sign,

With what @Mariusthvdb is talking about, you only see in previews, so it will be the in the email plaintext summary - perhaps in a template. There is also 'Someone replied to a topic you are watching'.

This is more a request, but since your busy with adjusting the forum anyway:
The "Latest" post page had the 4 pinned comments which drown out the rest of the posts.
Is it possible to collapse the pinned post so they just show the title instead of showing the first few lines of text in the pinned post.
So instead of:

I thought I saw something in the settings that controlled this, but now I can’t find it. I’ll write it down as something else to adjust with the email templates.

Okay, I’m going to write this down as something to investigate to make consistent, but for now you’ll have to just use the extra menu or markdown for things.
