Feldman Home — an alternative Home Assistant client with customizable widgets

I created an alternative Home Assistant client for Android called Feldman Home.

I originally built it for myself because I wanted a faster, cleaner way to control my home, with customizable dashboards and proper Android home-screen widgets. I decided to publish it in case others find it useful too.

Some of its features include:

  • Control lights, climate devices, switches, covers, locks, media players, and more
  • Customizable dashboards
  • Configurable Android home-screen widgets
  • Real-time entity updates
  • Home Assistant and Frigate camera support
  • Light and dark themes
  • No ads and no personal data collection

The app is still being actively developed, so feedback and suggestions are very welcome, especially regarding bugs, widget behavior, unsupported entities, camera compatibility, and device compatibility.

Disappointed the GitHub only has the compiled apk and not the source code. Will you be releasing that later?

You may find, in the true spirit of open source, a two way interchange of ideas may benefit everybody.

I’d like to sip, but will ask my taster and wait if they fall dead.
