File Editor bug? unknown tag !<!secret>

I just installed the latest File editor, Version 5.4.0 and when I edit my configuration.yaml file, I get an error on the first ! substitution line (122 in the image here). If I comment that line out, the error moves to the next ! line (147). Comment line 147 and the error moves down to the next ! (148).

Anyone else see this?

editor error

This is new- it just appeared today after upgrading the file editor.
If it were really an error, the configuration check before a restart would have flagged it. It doesn’t.

Yes, that is what I said. It’s an issue wit the File Editor. There’s a link to the open issue in the post I linked to.

I concur…

It’s doing it on my configuration too

Same here. Thanks for posting so I know it’s not me.

ok, that explains my failure to move to the new MQTT
Same problem here

Same here saying !include not recognised in text editor, no matter what I do the system won’t reboot with that entry as home assistant says the configuration.yaml isn’t valid.

For me it is only the file-editior that mentions the error.
Home-assistant itself has no issues with it, configuration is file, reboot is fine :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

Same issue where the HA says my configuration.yaml wasnt valid preventing a reboot. Uninstalling the filer editor add on fixed that issue for me

Looks like it is fixed in 5.4.1
