File Editor does not work

Hello,
since a couple of months the file-editor addon looks “strange”. I’ve tried to reinstall the add-on many times (and even the complete HA-installation) without any improvement.

Tried to google the issue, but haven’t found similar one.

In the log there are no warnings or errors

Did you try to clear your browser cache ?

in all the companion apps (even on new installed devices) the same behavior. I’ve tried right now the browser I never used before for HA (edge), so it looks the same.

Therefore I guess the cache is not the reason.

The css is not rendered correct. What version of file editor are you using ?

I’ve reinstalled the file editor a couple of minutes ago. So, I currently have the latest 5.8.0 version of the add-on.

Any add blockers active ? Pihole, adguard ?

yes, adguard is installed.

one minute later

adguard deactivated and the file-editor looks fine.

Hmm, ok.

Thank you, at least I know now the reason.

Maybe try with adguard disabled.

I’ve encountered the same, checked the adguard logs, and based on that, I allowed access to “aepxlg.adobe.com”, and the file editor seems to work again.

Tnx for the tip, I have no-script on in firefox and this blocked calls to cloudflare.com. After granting acces to cloudflare the File Editor addon worked again. I don’t like these calls to external sites, I really would like to run it local.
