With the new error logs I find it really difficult to filter out critical errors and (for me) expected errors.
F.ex I shut down my plex server and now my log is flooded with connection errors which makes it hard to spot other errors. What could make it easier is to provide some kind of filter to the error log.

With the logger component you can set different log levels for different components. Is this the kind of filter you are looking for, or do you want to filter different events with the same log level from the same component differently somehow?
Instead of trying to avoid the problem, we should focus on fixing it: the Plex platform should not spam the error log with connection errors.
I agree, but the logger component might be useful anyhow.
I agree, but the point wouldn’t be to avoid the problems but to make then even more readable. One would have to create categories of issues though so you can filter on them in the front end via a drop down or something.
