Find USB device Path Home Assistant

I’m trying to find the device path of a camera to be in the format

usb_path: /dev/ttyACM0

I’m running home assistant on a rasp, and have the camera plugged in and when I do command “lsusb” using putty it says

Bus 001 Device 006: ID 046d:082d Logitech, Inc. HD Pro Webcam C920

So the rasp can see the device but I just need the device path. How do I get this?

I know I had to do the same for finding the address of my z stick.

I’ve looked around trying to remember how I did it. Everything I’ve found is harder than I remember it being tho. I could have sworn there was an easier way but the simplest way that I could find is

$ lsusb /dev/tty*

It will list all the usb stuff connected starting with tty. remove your usb camera and run the command again and see what goes away.

I’m really sorry but that’s the easiest way I could find.

thank you for the information, fmi are you using hassio or hassbian?

I tried hassio once. it didn’t make sense to me so i went back to hassbian.

Thank you so much, I just used /dev/tty0 and it is working now.
