I bought this Sonoff ZBDongle-E intending to use it as a router in my network. I heard that I need to flash a different firmware on the device in order to use it as a router. I can’t find any good guides on how to do this. Can someone point me to a guide that shows how?

Finally, he held boot button, plugged into usb jack and then released button to get the dongle into bootloader mode. This did not work for me. I had to plug in first, hold boot button (one closer to the “center” of the dongle), then while still holding boot button, press and release the reset button above it. Then my device went into boot loader mode.
Also you do not need the init file that he did, at least I didnt went loading the router software linked above.
